Being a Better Change Agent
Leading change, as a manager or consultant, we have to
engage willing collaborators. Their response to a new strategy
or organization will depend not only on its logic, but also on
their personalities.
Effective change agents understand themselves and the
people they want to lead. In today’s diverse workplace, that
calls for developing our Personality Intelligence.
Dr. Michael Maccoby has not only authored the concept and
exercises for developing our understanding of people, he has
also led successful change processes at companies such as
AT&T, Volvo, MITRE, ABB, and universities.
At this workshop, Dr Maccoby will elaborate on his ideas and
experiences, but the participants will also reflect on and discuss
their experiences working with change, especially with other
leaders.
In preparation of the workshop, they will read Dr Maccoby’s
most recent book The Leaders We Need, And What Makes Us
Follow (Harvard Business School Press, 2007), take his
personality questionnaire and study material he will send about
understanding your own personality type.
