Permission to Use Figures from the Improvement Guide

Associates in Process Improvement (API) encourages readers of the Improvement Guide to reference
our materials and use them in presentations. The encouragement is done in the spirit of a tenet from the
API Purpose Statement:

As leaders in the integration of theories and development of methods, we disseminate the
outcomes of our research and development initiatives not only with our clients but also with other
    interested communities.

While we are eager to share our learning we do appreciate it when our ideas are properly attributed and
permission has been obtained. In some cases, our publisher will require permissions fees for re-use.
The Model for Improvement and other figures from The Improvement Guide, are managed through
Jossey-Bass, an Imprint of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., which manages all permissions for The Improvement
Guide. Permission to use requests should be directed to the permissions department of Wiley. Detailed
instructions on how to get permissions for Wiley titles are included in the front matter of all Wiley books,
and there's a form available on the website at:

http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/Section/id-301703.html

In the event you have already used figures without permission, then you should contact Bradley
Johnson in the Wiley permissions department directly at Bjohns@wiley.com  for any questions about
correcting the current situation. All future permissions should be handled through the website at the link
above.
